Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
- root, or 1 tsp ground ginger rt
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh
- lemon grass or lemon zest
- 2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1/2 fluid o.z. dry sherry
- Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 lb flank steak
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black
- pepper to taste
Directions
- To prepare marinade, in gallon-size sealable plastic bag, combine soy
- sauce, honey, ginger, lemon grass, garlic, sherry and red pepper
- flakes; add steak. Seal bag, squeezing out air; turn to coat steak.
- Refrigerate overnight or up to 24 hours, turning bag occasionally.
- Remove meat from refrigerator at least 30 minutes before broiling.
- Preheat broiler. Drain and discard marinade; dry meat with
- paper towel. Rub veri lightly with oil. Broil on a rack 3 inches
- from heat approximately 4 minutes each side, turning only once and
- salting cooked side only.
- Season with pepper. Allow meat to rest about 2-3 minutes before
- carving into thin diagonal slices.
