Beefy Sausage
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 cup macaroni, cooked and
- drained
- 1 (12 o.z.) can whole kernel corn
- drained
- 2 (8 o.z.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp ground oregano
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 cup (4 o.z.) shredded American
- Cheese
Directions
- Crumble beef and sausage into a 2 quart casserole; stir in onion
- and green pepper. Cover, simmer until meat is done, stirring twice,
- drain off excess drippings. Add macaroni, corn, tomato sauce, and
- seasonings to meat mixture; mix well. Cover and simmer until
- thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and heat 5 to 10
- minutes or until cheese melts. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
