Ingredients
- 2 lb Sweet or Hot italian
- Sausage, cut to bite size
- 1 cup water
- 4 med size green bell pepper cut
- into bite size pieces
- 2 med onion, cut bite size
- 2 tbs minced fresh garlic
- 2 can (28 o.z.) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- In a large skillet, bring the sausages and water to a boil over high
- heat. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes,
- or until the sausages are no longer pink. Remove the skillet from
- the heat. Drain off the water and sausage fat.
- Add the bell peppers, onion, garlic, tomatoes, seasoning, and salt to
- the skillet and bring to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce the
- heat to low. Cover and simmer for 8 to 9 minutes, stirring
- occasionally, until the vegetables are tender.
- Serve right away.
- Serves 8
