Ingredients
- 6 medium size green peppers
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 1/3 cups chopped fresh tomatoes
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
Directions
- Cut off tops of green peppers; remove seeds. Cook peppers 5
- minutes in boiling salted water to cover; drain. Set aside.
- Combine next 7 ingredients; mix well. Fill peppers with meat
- mixture; place in a 2 quart shallow casserole. Pour tomato sauce
- over and around the peppers. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50
- minutes. Yield: 6 Servings.
