Sweet and Sour Pork
Ingredients
- 2 TBS Oil
- 2 # Boneless Pork
- 2 TSP Garlic Salt
- 1/4 TSP Pepper
- 2 1/2 Cups Water
- 4 Med size Green Peppers 1 in pcs
- 1 Cup raisings
- 2/3 Cup sugar
- 2/3 Cup Vinegar
- 4 TBS Cornstarch
- 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
- 4 Cups Hot cooked rice
Directions
- Pour oil around top of preheated wok, coating sides; allow to
- heat at medium high (325 egrees) for 2 minutes. Add pork, and stir-
- fry about 5 to 6 minutes. Add garlic salt, pepper, and water.
- Reduce heat to low (225 degrees); cover and simmer about 25 minutes
- or until pork is very tender.
- Add green pepper; cook, uncovered, about 4 minutes. Stir in
- raisins, sugar, and vinegar. Disolve cornstarch in soy sauce, and
- add to pork mixture. Cook stirring constantly, until thickened and
- bubbly. Serve over rice.
