Hamburger Soup
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 med onion, chopped
- 1 (16 o.z.)can whole tomatoes,
- undrained
- 4 cups water
- 2 beef-flavored bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 to 1 tsp pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 3/4 cup sliced celery
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 (10 o.z.) pkg frozen mixed veg.
- 1 cup med egg noodles, uncooked
- 1/2 tsp dried whole thyme
Directions
- Cook groun beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain on
- paper towels; discard pan drippings. Add next 8 ingredients; bring
- to a boil. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add vegetables, noodles,
- and thyme. Bring to a boil; simmer, uncovered, about 20 minutes,
- stirring occxasionally. Yield 6 to 8 servings.
