Sausage and Broccoli Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 lb sausage links, cut into
- small pieces
- 1 (10 o.z.) package frozen
- chopped broccoli
- 1/4 cup shredded mild cheddar
- cheese
- 3 tbs chopped green pepper
- 2 tbs grated onion
- 3 tbs minced freshf parsley
- 2 tbs all purpose flour
- 3 hard cooked eggs, sliced
- 1 (10 o.z.) cream of mushroom
- soup
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 dry breadcrumbs
- 3 tbs melted butter or margarine
- Hot cooked rice
Directions
- Cook sausage until browned; drain. Cook broccoli according to
- package directions; drain well. Place broccoli in a lightly greased
- 1 1/2 quaret casserole. Combine sausage, cheese, green pepper,
- onion, parsley, and flour in a medium bowl; spoon half of sausage
- mixture over broccoli in casserole. Top sausage mixture with egg
- slices; spoon remaining sausage mixture over eggs.
- Combine soup and milk; pour over casserole. Combine breadcrumbs and
- butter; sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 375 degrees for 30
- minutes. Serve over hot cooked rice. Yield 6 servings.
